Last War Research Time Breakdown

See how research speed, alliance help, and research speedups reduce the time remaining on a Last War research upgrade.

Live comparison of base research time, time after research speed, time after alliance help, and remaining research time in Last War: Survival.
The bars update from your current calculator inputs. Research speed is applied first, then alliance help reduction, then available research speedups.

Last War research time breakdown

This diagram shows how the original research timer changes as each time-reduction step is applied.

The calculator starts with the base research time entered from the game.

Step 1: Research speed

Research speed changes the effective duration using a multiplier:

Adjusted Research Time = Base Research Time ÷ (1 + Research Speed Bonus)

For example, a +50% research speed bonus means the base timer is divided by 1.5.

Step 2: Alliance help

If an alliance help reduction is entered, it is applied to the already adjusted research time.

Time After Alliance Help = Adjusted Research Time × (1 − Alliance Help Reduction)

Step 3: Research speedups

Available research speedups are then subtracted from the time remaining after research speed and alliance help.

Remaining Research Time = max(Time After Alliance Help − Speedup Hours, 0)

The result is never allowed to fall below zero.

Why the bars matter

The live comparison makes it easier to see which part of your research setup is saving the most time. A large difference between Base Research Time and Time After Research Speed means your research-speed bonus is doing most of the work. A large difference after Alliance Help shows the effect of help reduction, while the final bar shows the timer left after available speedups are applied.

Use the calculator with the values currently shown in Last War: Survival because bonuses and in-game mechanics can change.
