A 20 × 15 × 8 ft room has a volume of 2,400 ft³. With 300 sabins of absorption, Sabine RT60 is about 0.392 seconds.
Sabine's equation assumes a reasonably diffuse sound field and averaged absorption. Real rooms also depend on frequency, surface placement, openings, speaker position, listener position and modal damping.
