How each calculator is built
Every calculator on Calciro documents its own formula directly on its page — look for the “How it works”section for a plain-language explanation, and the worked example for a filled-in, step-by-step case you can check by hand. We don't hide the math: if a result doesn't look right, you can trace exactly how it was produced.
What runs the numbers
Calculations run entirely from the documented formula for that calculator — the same logic shown on the page is what actually computes your result, evaluated using a restricted, safety-checked calculation engine. Nothing is guessed, estimated by a language model, or fabricated at request time.
Verification & freshness
Calculators that depend on standards, rates, or scoring scales that can change over time display a “last verified” date. We periodically review these calculators against current sources and update the date when we do. A calculator without a recent verification date for a fast-changing topic is a signal to double-check the current standard yourself before relying on the result.
Limitations, honestly stated
Every calculator's page includes a limitations section describing the assumptions built into the formula and the situations where it may not apply. We'd rather tell you where a calculator falls short than let you find out the hard way — see our disclaimer for the general terms that apply across the whole site.
Corrections
If you find an error in a formula, a stale reference value, or anything that doesn't match an authoritative source, please let us know. We investigate and correct every report.
