How to Use This Calculator

Use a detailed score sheet to total spread, both beams, normal points, and circumferences, then enter abnormal points and side-to-side deductions.

Formula & Methodology

The gross base adds the four major component totals. Typical mode subtracts symmetry and abnormal points; non-typical mode adds abnormal points after symmetry deductions.

Worked example

An 18-inch spread, 48 inches of beams, 64 inches of normal points, and 32 inches of mass total 162 inches before deductions.

It does not tell you where to measure, whether a point qualifies, which species sheet applies, how spread credit is limited, or whether a rack is eligible for an official category.

Unofficial recreational estimate. Use current official scoring sheets and authorized measurers for records, contests, insurance, or awards.
