Formula & Methodology
The current AP Chemistry exam weights 60 multiple-choice questions at 50% and seven free-response questions at 50%. The FRQs total 46 raw points: three 10-point long questions and four 4-point short questions.
Worked example
A practice result of 42 correct multiple-choice answers and 32 of 46 free-response points gives a weighted composite of about 69.78% before applying the editable practice cutoffs.
Exam difficulty, equating, scoring standards, rubric interpretation, omitted questions, and practice-set composition differ. The calculator does not predict an official AP score.
