How to Use This Calculator
Enter multiple-choice questions correct out of 55, total short-answer points out of 9, DBQ points out of 7, and LEQ points out of 6. The default cutoffs are planning estimates, not official College Board conversions.
Formula & Methodology
The calculator converts each section to a percentage and applies the current exam weights: 40% multiple choice, 20% short answer, 25% DBQ, and 15% LEQ. The resulting composite is compared with editable score cutoffs.
Example: balanced performance across all four sections
A student with 40/55 MCQ, 7/9 SAQ, 5/7 DBQ, and 4/6 LEQ earns an estimated composite near 72 before applying the chosen score cutoffs.
College Board does not publish one permanent public conversion table for every form. Equating and yearly score boundaries may vary. This tool is an unofficial estimate.
