Mini Lights vs. C7 vs. C9 Bulbs
The type of light affects how many you need per foot:
For indoor tree decorating, mini lights and LED wide-angle bulbs are standard. The 100 lights/ft rule applies to mini lights. LED wide-angle lights project more light per bulb, so 80–85 LED lights per foot achieves similar visual density to 100 mini lights.
