How to Use This Calculator

Enter the combined length and average depth of wall runs, island dimensions, backsplash dimensions, confirmed cutout area, waste percentage and price per square foot.

Formula & Methodology

Run area equals run length in feet × depth in inches ÷ 12. Island area equals length × width. Backsplash area equals length × height ÷ 12. Net area subtracts cutouts, and order area adds waste.

Worked example

A 20 ft run at 25.5 in deep, a 7 ft × 3.5 ft island and a 20 ft × 4 in backsplash total about 73.67 ft² before cutouts. After subtracting 6 ft² and adding 12% waste, order about 75.79 ft².
