How to Use This Calculator

Select your current and target Construction levels. Enter XP per completed build, materials used per build, builds per hour, material cost, and any additional cost per build. Use values that match the furniture or contract method you actually plan to use.

Formula & Methodology

XP remaining equals target XP minus current XP, clamped at zero. Builds needed equal XP remaining divided by XP per build and rounded up. Materials needed multiply builds by materials per build. Estimated hours divide builds by builds per hour. Gross cost combines material cost and other cost per build. GP per XP divides gross cost by XP remaining.

How the OSRS Construction Calculator Works

See how the calculator converts a Construction level goal into remaining XP, required actions, and planning outputs.

Select current and target levels, define the training method, then calculate the remaining Construction workload.

Oak dungeon door example

An oak dungeon door uses 10 oak planks and grants 600 Construction XP. Enter 600 XP per build and 10 materials per build to estimate doors and planks for your selected level goal.

This calculator does not fetch live Grand Exchange prices or automatically model servants, Carpenter's outfit bonuses, Mahogany Homes contract averages, plank sacks, boosts, special rooms, league multipliers, or every furniture requirement. Enter method values that match your setup.

Old School RuneScape methods, prices, and achievable rates can change. Verify current Construction requirements and prices before buying supplies.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the OSRS Construction calculator work?
It converts the difference between your selected current and target XP thresholds into method-specific actions using the XP and rate assumptions you enter.
Does it use live Grand Exchange prices?
No. Enter current prices or values manually so the assumptions remain visible and can be updated before a large training goal.
Why are actions rounded up?
A level goal normally requires completing the final whole action, so required actions are rounded up.
Can I use a different training method?
Yes. Replace the example XP, speed, material, success-rate, cost, and output assumptions with values for the method you actually plan to use.
Are the results exact?
The XP-threshold arithmetic is deterministic, but time, success rates, costs, yields, and profit depend on the method and assumptions entered.
