How to Use This Calculator

Select current and target Farming levels. Define one action as a repeatable run or farming cycle, then enter average XP per action, actions per day, cost per action, and expected output value per action. Keep that definition consistent across every input.

Formula & Methodology

Actions needed equal XP remaining divided by XP per action and rounded up. Estimated days divide actions by actions per day. Gross cost multiplies actions by cost per action. Gross output value multiplies actions by expected output value. Net cost is gross cost minus output value. GP per XP divides net cost by XP remaining.

Tree-run planning example

If a repeatable Farming run gives an average of 50,000 XP and you complete two runs per day, enter those values to estimate the number of runs and days for your selected level target.

Farming XP and value can come from planting, checking health, harvesting, contracts, Hespori, herbs, trees, fruit trees, hardwoods, special patches, and other methods. Growth time, disease, protection, yield, diaries, compost, resurrect crops, and market prices vary. Use realistic average XP and economics per chosen action.

Old School RuneScape Farming mechanics and prices can change. Verify current crop XP, growth schedules, protection, expected yield, and prices for your route.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the OSRS Farming calculator work?
It converts the difference between your selected current and target XP thresholds into method-specific actions using the XP and rate assumptions you enter.
Does it use live Grand Exchange prices?
No. Enter current prices or values manually so the assumptions remain visible and can be updated before a large training goal.
Why are actions rounded up?
A level goal normally requires completing the final whole action, so required actions are rounded up.
Can I use a different training method?
Yes. Replace the example XP, speed, material, success-rate, cost, and output assumptions with values for the method you actually plan to use.
Are the results exact?
The XP-threshold arithmetic is deterministic, but time, success rates, costs, yields, and profit depend on the method and assumptions entered.
