How to Use This Calculator

Enter item purchase cost, High Alchemy value, Nature rune cost, quantity to alch, and a realistic alchs-per-hour rate. Use current prices and account for buying limits, opportunity cost, and your actual casting method separately.

Formula & Methodology

Input cost per alch equals item cost plus Nature rune cost. Profit per alch equals High Alchemy value minus input cost per alch. Total input cost and coins received multiply their per-cast values by quantity. Total profit equals coins received minus total input cost. Time divides quantity by alchs per hour, and GP per hour divides total profit by estimated hours.

High Alchemy profit example

If an item costs 1,000 GP, a Nature rune costs 100 GP, and the item alchs for 1,200 GP, estimated profit is 100 GP per cast before other opportunity costs.

The calculator does not fetch live Grand Exchange prices, enforce buy limits, include item acquisition time, model rune-saving effects, account for opportunity cost, or guarantee that enough items can be bought at the entered price. High Alchemy values and market prices should be verified before trading.

Prices can move quickly and market liquidity can be limited. Verify current item, rune, and High Alchemy values before committing GP.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is High Alch profit calculated?
Profit per cast equals High Alchemy value minus item cost and Nature rune cost.
What is the break-even item cost?
It is the maximum item purchase price that leaves zero profit after the entered Nature rune cost.
Does this use live Grand Exchange prices?
No. Enter current item and Nature rune prices manually.
Does GP per hour include buying time?
No. It uses the entered alchs-per-hour rate and does not add item-acquisition or trading time.
Can total profit be negative?
Yes. If item plus rune cost exceeds the High Alchemy value, the calculated result is a loss.
