How to Use This Calculator

Formula & Methodology
The calculator uses pH = -log10[H+] for concentration-to-pH and [H+] = 10^-pH for pH-to-concentration. The mode selector uses numeric values so the formula engine can validate the branch safely.
Worked example
A hydrogen-ion concentration of 0.001 mol/L corresponds to pH 3 under the standard logarithmic definition.
The simple concentration relationship does not correct for activity coefficients, temperature effects, mixed equilibria, buffering or strong/weak acid dissociation chemistry.
