How to Use This Calculator
For a term-only calculation, leave current GPA credits and cumulative GPA at zero. For a projected cumulative result, copy the institutional GPA credits and GPA shown in Athena. Exclude transfer and non-GPA coursework.
Formula & Methodology
Each course contributes grade points equal to its grade value multiplied by its credits. Term GPA is total term grade points divided by graded credits. Projected cumulative GPA combines current grade points with the new term.
Example: 45 GPA credits at 3.20
A student with 45 GPA credits at 3.20 has 144.00 current grade points. The default 10-credit example adds 34.90 grade points. The projected GPA is 178.90 / 55 = 3.25.
This is an estimate and cannot inspect Athena, apply petitions, determine college-specific requirements, or resolve transcript exceptions.
