Calculators
- Reef Daily Consumption & Dosing CalculatorCalculate a one-time reef correction dose and a separate daily maintenance dose from measured alkalinity or calcium consumption.
- Reef Nitrate & Phosphate Dosing CalculatorCalculate one-time nitrate or phosphate correction dosing and estimate a separate daily maintenance dose from measured reef-tank nutrient consumption.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Is 1 g/L the same as 1 ppt?
- For dilute freshwater aquarium calculations, 1 g/L is approximately 1 part per thousand.
- Does salt evaporate from the aquarium?
- No. Water evaporates while salt remains, so replace salt only for water actually removed.
- Can all aquarium species tolerate salt?
- No. Many plants, invertebrates, and fish are salt-sensitive.
- Why use staged dosing?
- Staged additions reduce the risk of sudden osmotic change and allow retesting.
