How to Use This Calculator

Select the grade earned for every course and enter its credit hours. Use 0 credit hours for unused rows. Do not include pass/fail courses unless your institution counts them in GPA.

Formula & Methodology

College GPA = total quality points ÷ total GPA credit hours. Each course’s quality points equal grade points × credit hours.

Example: 12 college credit hours

An A in a 3-credit course earns 12 quality points, a B in a 4-credit course earns 12, and an A− in a 5-credit course earns 18.5. The GPA is 42.5 ÷ 12 = 3.54.

Institutions may use different plus/minus values, repeat policies, transfer-credit rules, academic forgiveness rules, and treatment of withdrawals or pass/fail courses.

This estimate is not an official transcript calculation. Confirm academic standing and graduation requirements with your college or university.
