How to Use This Calculator
Enter your date of birth and the date you want to calculate from. The calculator adds six calendar months to your birthday and finds the next annual occurrence of that half-birthday date.
Formula & Methodology
A half birthday is calculated by adding six calendar months to the date of birth. That month-and-day combination then repeats annually. If the destination month does not contain the original day, the calculator uses the final valid day of that month.
Example: Birthday on January 15
Someone born on January 15 has a half birthday on July 15. If the reference date is June 1, 2026, the next half birthday is July 15, 2026, which is 44 days away.
This calculator uses calendar-month arithmetic rather than treating a half year as a fixed number of days. If the destination month does not contain the original day, the date is moved to the final valid day of that month. For example, August 31 plus six months becomes February 28, or February 29 when applicable. Half birthdays are informal and may be defined differently by some organizations.
