How the Stat Calculator Works

The Stat Calculator: 1. Takes your running style, distance aptitude, and current stats as input 2. Calculates stamina requirements based on distance and conditions 3. Identifies which stats are below minimum threshold (critical) vs. above soft cap (diminishing returns) 4. Suggests a training priority order based on remaining stat gaps

Understanding the Output

  • Red stats — below minimum; training here is high priority
  • Yellow stats — below recommended threshold; moderate priority
  • Green stats — at or above recommended; training here has lower return
  • Gray stats — significantly above cap; avoid over-investing

Training Optimization

Use the Stat Calculator output to decide each week's training action: - If Stamina is Red and an upcoming race is long distance → prioritize Stamina Training - If Speed is Green and Wisdom is Red → shift training to Wisdom for SP and skill activation - If all main stats are Green → focus on secondary builds or skill point generation

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the soft cap for Speed in Uma Musume?
Speed has an effective soft cap of approximately 1,200 regardless of race distance. Below 1,200, each additional Speed point noticeably increases your top speed in races. Above 1,200, the marginal gain per additional Speed stat point drops significantly. The Stat Calculator flags when you're approaching or over this cap so you can redirect training to Stamina, Power, or Wisdom instead.
How much Stamina do I need based on race distance?
Approximate Stamina minimums: Short races (1,200m) need ~600 Stamina; Mile races (1,600m) need ~800; Middle distance (2,000–2,400m) needs ~1,000; Long races (2,400m+) need ~1,200. These are baselines — racing in Heavy track conditions may require 10–20% more Stamina. Skills that recover Stamina during a race can partially compensate for lower Stamina stats.
What does Guts do when your Stamina hits 0 in Uma Musume?
When Stamina depletes to 0 during a race, your Uma Musume enters a penalty state where speed decreases significantly. Guts determines the minimum speed floor during this penalty phase — higher Guts prevents the most severe slowdowns. An Uma Musume with very high Guts can still run competitively even after Stamina is gone; one with low Guts essentially stops being competitive. Guts is especially important for long-distance runners who push stamina limits.
How does Wisdom affect skill activation in Uma Musume?
Higher Wisdom increases the probability that your Uma Musume's skills activate during a race. Skills have an inherent activation chance — some trigger on specific conditions (position in field, phase of race), others are RNG-dependent. Wisdom improves the rate at which condition-met skills actually fire. In a skill-heavy build with several gold-tier skills, Wisdom can be the deciding factor between whether two or zero skills activate per race.
