Obtain the current HYT limit from official Air Force personnel guidance because limits can vary by grade, component, policy, and approved extensions.
Formula & Methodology
Projected HYT date equals the entered service date plus the entered HYT limit in years. Remaining days are measured from the as-of date.
Example: 20-year HYT limit
With a 20-year entered HYT limit, the projected HYT date is 20 calendar years after the official service date.
This calculator intentionally does not hardcode HYT tables. It cannot determine extensions, selective retention, demotion effects, component rules, or official separation dates.
