How to Use This Calculator
Enter the total input cost, each possible output value and each probability as a percentage. Keep probabilities aligned with the outcomes you are modeling.
Formula & Methodology
Expected value is the probability-weighted average of the outcome values. Expected profit subtracts the input cost. ROI divides expected profit by input cost, guarded against zero.
Worked example
A trade-up with two equally likely outcomes worth $80 and $20 has an expected value of $50 before fees.
This basic version supports two outcomes and relies entirely on the probabilities and market values entered. It does not fetch live prices or account for marketplace fees unless included in the inputs.
Entertainment and educational probability tool only. Digital-item prices can change rapidly.
