How to Use This Calculator

Select current and target Firemaking levels. Enter XP per action, actions per hour, materials used per action, cost per material, any other cost per action, and expected reward or output value per action.

Formula & Methodology

Actions needed equal XP remaining divided by XP per action and rounded up. Materials needed multiply actions by materials per action. Gross input cost combines material and other costs. Gross reward value multiplies actions by expected value per action. Net cost is input cost minus reward value. Time divides actions by actions per hour. XP per hour multiplies XP per action by actions per hour.

Standard log-burning example

If a log gives 100 XP and the goal requires 400,000 XP, the calculator returns 4,000 successful actions. Enter current log price and realistic actions per hour for cost and time.

The calculator does not automatically choose a log, fetch prices, model lighting failures, movement, banking, tick manipulation, pyre methods, Shades of Mort'ton, Wintertodt contribution rules, supply crates, interruptions, or variable rewards. For minigames, enter realistic average XP, actions, materials, and reward value.

Use current prices and a sustainable training rate. Actual XP, rewards, and cost depend on method, execution, and game updates.
